How to Reach National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad), Hyderabad India, is the nearest Airport (170 kilo meters away from NIT Warangal).
After landing at airport:
- Take a cab to reach Secunderabad railway station (37 kilo meters from airport- Rs.700/- approx..) and then get into a train that goes to Kazipet railway station (near Warangal). In these trains, Air-conditioned coaches are also available. Distance between Secunderabad and Kazipet is 130 kilo meters, fare Rs.700 to 1200 and it normally takes 2.5 hours by express train. Advanced reservation of seats is possible.
- Take a cab to reach Uppal (a place in Hyderabad which is 32 kilo meters from airport- Rs.700 approx.) and then get into a bus that goes to Warangal/Hanamkonda. Ask the bus driver to stop in front of NIT Warangal main gate. Air-conditioned buses are also run with good frequency (at least one for every 20 minutes and bus journey is approximately 3 hours. Bus fare is Rs.300/-)
- Take a cab to reach Warangal (NIT is located near Kazipet on Airport to Warangal) which is 170 kilo meters away and approximately it takes 3 hours time. Approximate expenses is Rs.4,000/- and can have taxi service from travels registered with NIT Warangal.
Kazipet (3 km) / Warangal (12 km) are the nearest railway stations. Many trains from north and south pass through Warangal and some through Kazipet. At any of these stations, auto rickshaws are available all the time to reach NIT Warangal (fare Rs.70 from Kazipet railway station nd Rs.150 from Warangal railway station)
Bus:You have to catch a bus that goes to Hanamkonda or Warangal. NIT Warangal is near Kazipet on Hyderabad - Warangal road way. Telangana State Government run buses are available from Hyderabad and from some other places such as Bangalore. Journey time between Hyderabad (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station- MGBS) and NIT Warangal is approximately three and half hours. Air-conditioned buses are also run with good frequency (at least one for every 20 minutes).
